Slavena is a storyteller and a physician. Her work has been included in publications such as Doximity, Hektoen International, In-Training, and the Aspiring Doc Diaries. She earned her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a B.A. from the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College.
