Mary Beth Sammons is an award-winning journalist, author and cause-related communications consultant for numerous nonprofits and healthcare organizations including, Advent Health, Amita Health, Advocate Health, Chamberlain School of Nursing, Rush University Medical Center, and The University of Illinois School of Dentistry. Mary Beth’s experience has run the gamut. She has been the Bureau Chief for Crain’s Chicago Business, features writer for The Chicago Tribune, Family Circle, Psychology Today, Writer’s Digest and the PBS magazine Next Avenue. As Vice President of Editorial Content and Marketing at CarePages.com, she helped lead the editorial content for one of the first platforms to connect patients, caregivers, and clinicians digitally, serving 4 million members across 625+ U.S. and Canadian healthcare facilities. She holds a Certificate of Professional Achievement in Narrative Medicine from Columbia University, currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of NarrativeMindworks.org and volunteers as Communications Committee Director with Advocate Health's Narrative Medicine.
