Paul Engelhardt, BS, MFA
Although Paul Engelhardt started working at Advocate Health in 1990 in what was supposed to be a three-day temp assignment, he’s still there and has worked in many roles throughout Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, currently serving as the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer. Paul’s interest in Narrative Medicine started about five years ago and he has been a zealot for the cause ever since. He has written multiple stories for the Narrative Medicine newsletter, had plays he wrote produced in Chicago, IL; Akron, OH, and San Francisco, CA) and during Covid he developed a Zoom-based murder mystery. He came to Chicago initially for theatre and is founding member of Strawdog Theatre, past Board President of the Oak Park, IL Festival Theatre, and former Regional Director of a national murder mystery company.
